About African American Puzzles
African American Puzzles is  a owned by Bettie Jordan Backus and located in Richmond, Virginia .    Since 1996, she has worked to create quality  African American History educational material  for all ages.  

Today, African American Puzzles creates puzzle books,   children's history books and history fact puzzle sheets/placemats and a variety of literature that spotlight the African American experience.   Browse through our  Product Gallery and order with confidence.  

During  February in honor of "Black History Month"  we have an outstanding collection .  We are featuring "African American Inventors--What's The Bright Idea".   The book is the most largest collection of its kind  of  famous African Americans who have made their mark in the area of science, technology, math, medicine and engineering.  

In honor of the "Tuskegee Airmen" and the movie "Red Tails", we have puzzle sheets for children of all ages.    We also have variety packs.  Churches, restaurants, and  civic organizations have found these collections to be a great way to both educate and entertain people of all ages and races.    We are truly blessed with a rich history.    Click on the "Full Store" tab and order with confidence.  




Bettie Backus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from Averett University. She has years of Technology and Management experience but her passion is in researching African American history and designing a variety of puzzles for children of all ages. There are also some basic history books, like African American Inventors and Scientists—What’s The Bright Idea.
